But also the desire to showcase your gear to everyone, and to seek out your own outdoor life and share it. This tent was developed to meet such greedy and selfish needs. It's not just unique; it's made of genuine denim fabric with solid functionality. Japan's textile industry, once a major industry that continues to evolve and thrive. We poured our technology and soul into "Made in Japan" denim fabric. What if we used that for tent fabric? The answer is the STELLAFELIX series.

先立って行われたバイヤー向けの展示会。
サンプル用のテストモデルを持ち込み お披露目を行いました。
その会場でブースに来た人のほとんどが
「デニム生地なんだ。へぇ～」
「雨とか大丈夫なの？」
と、二言目にはやはり水に関する質問が非常に多かったです。
いたって普通の考え方で、
テントの生地をデニムにしようと決めた当初から
耐水性は大きな課題でした。

染み出すのはダメ。
吸水して重くなるのもNG。
コーティングだけでは物足りない。
ナイロンのようになるのも意味がない。

そんな難題に真っ向から取り組んだのは、
岡山は児島デニムを扱うプロ集団とテント作りの老舗。
そしてカーテン作りで培った縫製のエキスパート。
国産デニムの圧倒的シェアを誇る「カイハラデニム」の採用。

徹底的に水を弾き、
打ち付ける雨を通さず。
だけどコットンテントのように内側からの湿度は通して快適に。
そして軽い。
こだわり抜いた職人魂満載のデニム生地が完成しました。

「これはデニム生地を使ったテントである」
自信をもって言える存在になりました。

At a buyer-oriented exhibition held beforehand, we showcased test models for sampling. Almost everyone who visited our booth at the venue exclaimed, "It's made of denim fabric. Wow!" and the second question they asked was almost always about water resistance: "Is it okay in the rain?" From the very beginning, when we decided to use denim fabric for the tent, water resistance was a major challenge, approached with a very ordinary mindset. Staining was not an option. Getting heavier when wet was a no-go. Coating alone wasn't sufficient. Becoming like nylon served no purpose.

Facing these difficult challenges head-on were professionals handling Okayama's Kojima denim and a long-established tent-making company, together with sewing experts cultivated in curtain making. We employed the domestically renowned "Kaihara Denim," which boasts overwhelming market share in Japan. We thoroughly repelled water, didn't allow rain to penetrate, and yet allowed humidity from the inside to pass through like a cotton tent, ensuring comfort. And it's lightweight. With this meticulously crafted denim fabric, infused with the essence of the artisans' spirit, we confidently assert, "This is a tent made of denim fabric."

デニムの様な布テントは沢山あります。
デニム柄のテントも沢山あります。

それっぽいテントに興味はなく、ジーンズの肌ざわりを残すことを命題として取り組みました。

第一層はコットンデニム生地。
第二層は高透湿ウレタンフィルム。
第三層は低浸透ナイロン生地

この３層の構造により相反する耐水性と透湿性、そして薄さと軽さを確保できました。

元々デニム生地は紫外線をしっかりカットでき、調達のしやすさと頑丈さでハードワークな労働者に好まれ、ジーンズが誕生した歴史が物語るように耐久性も兼ね備えています。

また縫製一つとってもその卓越した技術が垣間見られ、布を折り返して重ねて縫う「巻き縫い」に2本の針で縫うダブルステッチといった、強固なジーンズを縫うときに使用される縫い方が使用されています。

日本が誇る「繊維」の世界に住み、衣服だけに留まらないモノづくり精神を支え、デニムやジーンズが好きな職人が集まったことで完成した最高の素材。

There are many tents made of denim-like fabric, and plenty with denim patterns as well. However, our focus was not on creating a tent that merely looks like denim, but rather on preserving the feel of denim against the skin.

The first layer consists of cotton denim fabric. The second layer is a highly breathable polyurethane film. The third layer is made of low-permeability nylon fabric. This three-layer structure allows us to achieve both waterproofness and breathability, as well as thinness and lightness.

Denim fabric naturally provides excellent UV protection, is favored by hardworking laborers for its ease of procurement and durability, as evidenced by the history of denim's origins leading to the birth of jeans.

Even the sewing techniques reflect exceptional craftsmanship, with methods used for sewing sturdy jeans, such as the "overlock" stitch and double stitching with two needles, being employed.

Residing in the world of Japan's textile industry, where craftsmanship extends beyond clothing, and fueled by the passion of artisans who love denim and jeans, we have created the ultimate material.
